Privacy
The short version: your files never leave your device, so there is nothing for us to see, store, sell, or lose.
What happens to your files
Nothing leaves your device. Every conversion runs entirely inside your browser — no file, no part of a file, no filename and no hash is ever sent over the network. There is no upload step and no server that receives your files, because there is no server at all: Filexum is a set of static pages, and all the work is done by code running on your own machine.
You don't have to take our word for it. Open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and convert a file — you'll see no upload. Or turn off Wi-Fi entirely and convert anyway; it still works, because there was never a network path for your files to travel.
What we don't do
- We don't see, receive or store your files.
- We don't require an account, email address or any sign-up.
- We don't use tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner.
- We don't run ads or share anything with advertisers or data brokers.
Analytics
To understand roughly how many people visit which pages, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It is cookieless and privacy-first: it records anonymous, aggregate page views and never builds a profile of you or tracks you across other sites. It does not and cannot see the files you convert. If you block it, the converter works exactly the same.
Hosting
The site is served as static files by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard server request logs (such as IP addresses) to deliver pages and protect against abuse. These logs are about page requests, never about your file contents, which are never transmitted.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted here. The core promise won't: your files stay on your device.
